da ich öfters danach gefragt werde, was man beim Reiten als Muslima denn so anziehen kann, habe ich hier noch einmal ein paar Artikel dazu zusammengefasst, zum schnelleren Nachschlagen ;-)
Auch habe ich noch ein paar neue, weitere Ideen von anderen Schwestern bekommen, die ich euch gerne vorstellen möchte. Eine Schwester trägt zum Springen keinen Reitrock, sondern eine sehr breite Hose, die fast aussieht wie ein Rock. Der Stoff ist sehr dick sodass es keine Scheuerstellen gibt. Darunter trägt sie Reitstiefel.
Ein klassischer Khimar/Jilbab, dessen Länge vom Kopf bis zu den Knien geht, ist eine Alternative für Schwestern, die es gern praktisch mögen und absolut sicher sein möchten, dass der Khimar beim Galopp oder bei starkem Wind nicht nach oben fliegt. Diese Variante hat allerdings den Nachteil, dass man immer auf etwas Stoff sitzt der dann runterhängt. So muss man während des Reitens öfter mal schauen dass man nicht auf dem Khimar sitzt. Auch sollte man Wert darauf legen, dass der Khimar aus hochwertigen Stoffen gefertigt wurde.
Eine andere Schwester erzählte mir, dass sie zum Ausreiten gerne einen Hippie Rock in XXL/ Maxirock trägt, dieser eignet sich für Leute, die einen geschlossenen Rock zum Reiten bevorzugen (Anmerkung: Der Reitrock ist ja an einer oder beiden Seiten offen, sodass er sich in zwei Hälften teilt wenn man auf dem Pferd sitzt). Was auch eine schöne Alternative zum Amira Hijab oder einem langen Khimar darstellt, sind die Kopftücher, bei denen man das Stirnteil hinten am Kopf zusammenbindet, das gibt nochmal extra Halt. Wichtig ist immer, dass ihr euch in der Kleidung wohl fühlt, sie leicht ist und euch nicht in der Bewegung hindert, und dass sie auch sicher ist: Ist der Stoff rutschig oder zu lang und zu weit, kann man damit schnell am Sattel hängenbleiben, auch im Falle eines Sturzes. Die Kleidung sollte so locker sein, dass sie den islamischen Regeln gerecht wird, also nicht körperbetont, sie sollte aber auch nicht zu groß sein, sodass man sich vor lauter Stoff nicht mehr frei bewegen kann.
Was ich auch empfehlen kann ist, dass man die Kleidung, die man im normalen Alltag trägt, nicht am Stall anzieht und umgekehrt. Denn die Kleidung wird beim Reiten, Stall ausmisten und durch den Aufenthalt draußen bei Wind und Wetter stark in Anspruch genommen, und wird sich schnell abnutzen, vor allem Hosen Röcke und Oberteile. Ich z.B. habe ein ganzes Fach in meinem Kleiderschrank nur für Reitkleidung, da sind Reithosen drin, aussortierte Hemden und Tuniken, die ich nur noch am Stall trage, alte Kopftücher, Socken und natürlich eine Menge Reitröcke in allen Farben. Meistens ziehe ich zum Stall Kleidung an, die ich für den Alltagsgebrauch schon aussortiert habe.
Je nach Verschmutzungsgrad der Kleidung kann man die Sachen zum Reiten dann etwa dreimal anziehen, für jeweils ein paar Stunden, bevor sie dann in die Wäsche kommen. Das gilt wenn man mehrmals wöchentlich am Stall ist. Wenn man nur ab und zu oder unregelmäßig reitet, würde ich die Sachen direkt nach Benutzung waschen. Das Oberteil muss man sicher häufiger wechseln, als den Rock oder die Hose (es sei denn man reitet ohne Sattel :-D ).
Wem es nicht zu heiß ist, für den ist eine klassische Jeans mit einem leichten Rock drüber auch eine gute Wahl. Die Jeans ist robust und hält so einiges aus. Super ist, wenn die Jeans weite Beine hat. Dennoch würde ich dazu eher einen Reitrock oder einen Maxirock tragen, denn ein normaler Rock oder Abaya ist dann ziemlich nervig beim Aufsteigen und Reiten, da er viel zu eng geschnitten ist.

It is always important that you feel comfortable in your clothing, that it is light and does not prevent you from moving, and that it is also safe: If the fabric is slippery or too long and too wide, you can quickly get caught on the saddle, even when you fall down from the horse. Clothing should be loose enough to comply with Islamic rules, i.e. not form-fitting, but it should also not be too big so that you can’t move freely because of lots of extra fabric.
What I can also recommend is that you don't put on the clothes you wear in normal everyday life at the stable and vice versa. Because the clothes are put under a lot of strain when riding, mucking out the stable and staying outside in wind and weather, and they will be worn out quickly, especially pants, skirts and tops. I, for example, have a whole compartment in my wardrobe just for riding clothes, there are breeches in it, discarded shirts and tunics that I only wear in the stable, old headscarves, socks and of course a lot of riding skirts in all colors. Depending on how dirty the clothes are, you can wear the riding clothes about three times, for a few hours each, before putting them in the washing machine. This applies if you are at the barn several times a week. If you only ride occasionally or irregularly, I would wash the clothes immediately after use. You definitely have to change the shirt more often than the skirt or pants (unless you ride bareback :-D ).
I usually wear clothes to the stable that I have already sorted out for everyday use. If it's not too hot for you, classic jeans with a light skirt over them are also a good choice. The jeans are robust and can withstand a lot. It's great when the jeans have wide legs. Nevertheless, I would rather wear a riding skirt or a maxi skirt with it, because a normal skirt or abaya is quite annoying when mounting and riding, as it is much too tight.
